In order to ensure the best conditions of treatment, since 2008 the Aluniș Complex has opened its own treatment base within the hotel. Due to the curative properties of salty waters and sludge extracted from the salt lakes in the Sovata area, the resort has become the recommended destination for treating gynecological and rheumatic diseases, a unique resort in Europe, renowned for its beauty and beneficial health effects.

Bogdan Ski and Recreation Center is located at an altitude of 1200 meters between the Praid commune and Bucin Peak at KM 15. The Bogdan Plateau, set in an extremely beautiful mountain landscape, provides an incredible opportunity for visitors to discover the beauties of nature. The picturesque scenery, the mountains and the forest, the fresh air and the scent of coniferous trees lure visitors who want to relax or do sports.
Rehabilitated recently, the steam train runs again on the Sovata – Câmpu Cetății route. In addition to the pleasant trip it offers, the train is itself a historic tourist destination. The steam train departs daily from Sovata train station at 10, 13, 17 and 19 o’clock. The duration of a trip is 1h and 45 min.
The recreational base is located at the Horizon 50 Gallery, which is 120 meters deep from the surface. The transportation of the visitors is done by the buses of the Mine at a distance of 1250 mmeters, from the entrance to the recreational base. Once you reach the recreational base, you can enjoy all the facilities of a small community: lighting, wireless Internet connection and television, children’s playgrounds, creative and recreational spaces, ecumenical chapel, café, 3D cinema and a pharmacy with herbal products.
Next to the Lake Tivoli, an adventure park has opened. Here you can climb trees, participate in various adventure games, or pass over the Lake on a ropeway. The park has a program during the summer season and enjoys great popularity. The price of entrance tickets is set annually.
At Lake Tivoli, you can rent rowing boats. This is the only lake in Sovata where boat access is allowed. It is set in a picturesque natural setting, about 2 km away from Lake Bear and can be reached by asphalt road or pedestrian walks around Lake Bear.
The most pleasant way to visit the resort, from one end to the other, is with the little train. The train leaves from the front of the central park at regular intervals. This is a guided tour that gives you the opportunity to discover the historic villas and churches in Sovata. The little train is also an attraction for children.
